Privacy policy
This page describes how QR Studio handles personal data. Replace it with a policy reviewed for your jurisdiction.
Account holders
We store your name, email address, hashed password, timezone and the QR codes you create. Passwords are stored with a one-way hash and cannot be read by anyone, including administrators.
People who scan a code
- We record that the tracking link was opened, when, and the device type, browser and operating system worked out from the browser’s user-agent string.
- We do not store IP addresses. To estimate unique visitors we keep a keyed hash of the IP address and browser, combined with a secret that changes every month. It cannot be reversed to an IP address or linked across months or codes.
- If enabled, we look up an approximate country from the IP address at the moment of the visit. We never collect GPS location.
- Detailed visit records are deleted after 395 days. Aggregated counts (for example “12 scans on 3 May”) contain no personal data and are kept for as long as the code exists.
Contact cards
Details entered into a contact-card code are published to anyone with the link. The owner of the code is responsible for having permission to publish them.
Your rights
You can edit your details at any time and delete your account from your account settings, which removes your codes and their analytics. Contact support@embpromos.com with any privacy request.
